Probably no new grandbaby today...

Hi folks! I am a disappointed grannie today Remember I posted that Mariah was going to be induced today...We;; when she called them last night as they told her to do they said they didn't have any beds so not to come last night but to come at 7am this morning. Then they told her to call the doctors office at 9 this morning instead. Now they tell her to come into the doctors office at 2 :30 today. So don't really know what is going to happen this afternoon. Hanging in there though. Kat

Bless your heart, Been there and done that. I know how you feel. Only thing was that mine lived 12hrs away and could not be there. I was a wreck but God saw us through. I will be praying for ya'll. Keep us updated. God Bless Crystal

Kat, I know this is disappointing but from a mom who was induced Twice, it is a much harder labor when they induce so maybe this will give her a chance to go into labor on her own. Praying for you and Mariah! Terri

Thanks ladies! I know she is better off to go naturally but I hate the thought of them driving cross country with such a young baby and as the days go by she is gonna be that much younger. I so wish I could drive with them but I don't think I can because I am not a flyer and don't know how I would get back home. She did go to the doc this afternoon and he said she is 80% effaced so she won't need the cervidil. Still only 1 cm dilated though. She is to call at 6in teh morning and if they have beds they will induce her in the morning. I was induced with only one of mine (He was 3 weeks late but I was 4 cm dilated with no contractions). The doc was afraid to let me leave because he was my 4th child. I begged him to let me leave and get my other kids to the babysitters but he wouldn't hear of it. They broke my water in the docs office sent me next door to the hospital and gave me Pitocin for about 15 minutes and he was ready to be born. My poor mother was out in the waiting room with my three other little ones. ANYWAY...She is miserable right now and just ready to hold her little one. Hopefully tomorrow! I will keep you all posted!
