Thankyou folks. I'm glad to be here. I've lived in this area since "71 when my Dad moved us down from upstate NY. I'm 45,twice married, two daughters,one son. Ages 26-23-19. Son still lives at home. My BMI is 47 and my numbers are climbing lately in the bp and sugar area. Chubby since childhood and all that that entails. I lost my momma to diabetes in 2000 and I vowed to understand the disease as her doctors didn't seem to know how to regulate her sugars. I've lost so much weight so many... many... many... times on the diet I believe would have lengthend my mommas life only to gain it all back due to addiction to... drumroll......................I know you know.........'sugar' in all its wicked forms. I yoyo so much there's a string hangin out my behind. I try not to let my weight hold me back....but it does... Up until 5 weeks ago I never gave wls a second look, I was surethat if I could just follow this diet........this time.... one more time... I could do it...and I wouldn't get diabetes...and....and....sighhhhh. I gave up. I need medical intervention!.... I deserve it.!...by golly I believe this is 'right' for me! I am going to make this happen. You guys are in this with me and that is sooo cool. I've got my gb ultrasound ordered and a sleep study this month. I'm shooting for April for my surgery. My latest benign addiction is reading YOUR profiles so please.. keep on responding cuzz I wants to gets to know yaas! candi

Candi, Welcome to the FL board! You'll find a lot of friendly, helpful folks at this site! Don't forget to visit the main messageboard some, too. Candi, Good luck. You are right, you deserve this and you need to make it happen. It sounds like you are on the right path, just keep it up and you'll be a loser before you know it.
