What happened to Dr. Tenewitz in Melbourne?

I was driving by and his bariatric clinic is gone. Did something happen? He did my gallbladder surgery, but I went out of state for my WLS. Just curious to know if he is back to general surgery or what. Thanks! Laura

He shut down his practice. There had been some bad press on his surgeries and malpractice suits. I caught a bit of the story on the news in Orlando and in the interview, he said he was going to shut down his business and spend time with his family. I feel bad for his post op patients *****ally liked him and loved his caring staff. I actually know two people who had successful surgeries with him and now they have to start over establishing a relationship with a new surgeon now for followup.

It is very sad to see Dr Tenewitz go from the area. I believe he was practicing for 25 years. He did my friends surgery and he was very pleased with the care and the follow up. I don't know who his patients are going to go to now. He was the only weight loss surgeon in Brevard county. I had to go to Jupiter Florida to Dr Vaughan because my insurance didn't cover Dr Tenewitz.
