one year ago i had wls
wow ... what a year ... i can say that having wls was the best thing i could have done for myself . i was at 400 pounds last year and today i am 186 and still the pounds are coming off . just alittle at a time now . i can wear regular shoes now !!!!!!!!!!!!!(hehehe ...even heels ) i had broken both the arches of my feet due to the weight . i have gone from a size 32 to a 11 . i don't even mind that i have gone from a 42 DDD to a 38 C .(almost a B ..what i diffrence ) i now enjoy life instead of watching it pass me by . i am the same person hat i was but i now enjoy all the things i could not do ...cross my legs (what a wow moment that was ..) wear shoes that are in style , fit in a car with out pain , to walk and run (yeah i can run now to the shock of my 14 year old son when i chased him when he thought there was no way i would be able to catch him ..and i did it ) tie my own shoes , paint my toe nails , fit in comfort in the tub to soak ..i missed that alot ..shopping with my 3 daughters , being able to wear rings and necklaces ,there is so much i have missed the last several years that i want to do now and just enjoy everyday that i have been blessed with. i want to thank everyone on here for all of the help and understanding . somedays just knowing that there are others that are going threw some of the same things has made a diffrence . this has not been a easy thing to do but for me it was the best thing . so if you ever have someone tell you that you took the easy way ..don't let it get to you .. just remember this is something that you have to do for you and be happy .
this is my new take on life -
life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safley in a pretty and well preserved body , but rather to skid in broad side ,throughly used up , totally worn out , and loudly proclaiming -WOW - WHAT A RIDE !-

Hi! What a great year you have had! It is pretty amazing the new life WLS can give one and it is a thrill and an inspiration for me to watch (read about) the changes and new experiences of all those who have had their surgery. I know one day soon it will be my turn!
