Working Hard

I just wanted to stop by and touch base with everyone. I've been working at Disney now for 6 1/2 weeks. It's not to bad. I enjoy the work but there is so much internal drama in my department that at times it makes working difficult. I'm hoping after 6 months I can transfer to another area. Omar is looking for new employment. He actually got a job a Disney also and is supposed to start on the 26th but he's not sure he is going to because the pay is terrible. He is waiting to hear from Portifino Bay Hotel concerning a job in the warehouse and the pay is much better there. Then we would be covered with perks at 2 of the major theme parks. WooHoo. Since I started working I've lost another 8 pounds for a grand total loss of 180 since September 2004. 20 more to my personal goal to weigh 200 since that would be half my pre-op weight. Then I will be looking into some PS. I've got to do somethiing because all this extra apron skin is making the back problems I have (herniated discs) MUCH worse. Once my Disney insurance kicks in I'm hoping that it will cover surgery. I hope all of you are well and that 2006 is treating you ok so far. I'm going to try and make the M&G on the 28th. I don't have to work but there is some other stuff going on that day so I'll see what I can work out. I miss you guys. Take care. Sincerely, Dawn

Hey dawn. so what are you doing at Disney? For some odd reason I thought you did hair. Maybe thats because the few times I meet you you look so great. Anyway best of luck to you and Omar. heather

I'm in the cosmetology department at the Magic Kingdom working as a hair & makeup specialist. We do all the make-up/wigs for the characters and lots of other stuff also. It's ok. I like the work but all the internal crap is difficult to put up with. Hopefully, I'll see you on Saturday. Sincerely, Dawn
