Walk as MUCH as possible and don't forget to drink as much water as you can to flush!

Hey!! I know you!!! Sorry about the gas pain, Monette, but this does happen sometimes. Walk through the pain. The more you walk, the more the gas dissipates and it is going to be uncomfortable for a while, unfortunately, but you will get through this. Does your left shoulder hurt?? If so, that is from the JP drain and as soon as that comes out, that ache will totally disappear! Hang in there and let me know how I can help you!! Jan (your angel)

One other thing to add to what the other posters already advised, is to use a heating pad. The heat helps to disapate(spelling?) the air bubbles.

Monette, Check with YOUR surgeon if it doesn't improve soon. According to my srugeon, the gas pains shouldn't last more than a few days. Also, walk, walk, walk, sip, sip, sip! Vickie J. 277/146/142
