Complications with Dr Samuel Cox

Was just wondering if anyone else out there has had any complications with Dr Cox in Ft Lauderdale. It seems many in the health care world (colleagues and hospital workers alike) are hush hush about things regarding him these days. Thought it was just my case but wanted to see if anyone else has had similar experiences.

No, I had a very successful experience with him. He has a very good track record and reputation. However, I read your profile and I'd wonder about him too if I was you! I'm so sorry you had to go through all of that!!! I know that revisions from old RNY's are risky and more complicated, but that doesn't explain away everything you went through. I'll probably make it for the M&G, but I'm still a maybe for Seaworld. I hope I can make it for both, because Seaworld is one of my favorites! This Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday I'm going up to Charlotte, NC. I'm going to the Bon Jovi concert on Wed. with my cousin. I had Dr Cox and he was great . It was the best thing in the world for me and i am about a week away from my one year date and have lost over 200 pounds so far . I was blessed to have found him . tina -213 lbs

First let me say I am glad are finally getting the medical care you needed Cindi. I have wondered how you were doing and what happened to you. I remember awhile back that Dr. Cox and his wife went to I think it was Israel and just did not come back, and were not expected back for some time, which resulted in surgeries being canceled and some people being left in the lurch. Does anyone know how that turned out? Did Dr. Cox come back? Red

He came back 2 weeks later in November. I dont know about his surgery schedule though. That is what I know. That was during my pretty sick time.

Cindi, I haven't had an experience with Dr. Cox, but I wanted to send some *hugs* your way, it sounds like you've been through some rough stuff! I read through your profile and I hope that they can correct all of these issues you have had! Amy
