reputable counselors?

Hello, I am trying to find a reputable counselor in my area with experience in compulsive overeaters. Do any of you on this board know of someone in the Bradenton/Sarasota area with this specialty? I'm looking for someone with actual experience and not just a piece of paper saying they are qualified to counsel. So, if you've had any luck, please pass along their info. Thanks, Karen

Hi Karen, I had my surgery in St Pete. My surgeon recomends Dr Baum, Dr and Dr Calhoun , and Dr Lindsey. I went to Dr Lindsey for my pre op clearance and I have been to support groups with Dr Baum. It is not too bad of a drive from Bradenton.

thank you both for the information. My surgeon is in Ft. Lauderdale and has few connections with my area providers. That's why I headed here first with my request. I appreciate the insight and suggestions. Karen
