Solid Food....can't keep it down....
Hi All - On Fri I had my staples taken out and my dr said I could start Phase III of the diet - eating solid foods = chewing 25xs.
The problem is that I trying to eat on fri night and couldn't keep anything down.
Same thing happnened sat and sun and today. I am a little discouraged but told myself - no pity parties.
Can anyone suggest some things to eat beside - cheese, eggs and chicken?
Thanks.....

Barbi, give your pouch time to settle down. A hot drink before meals helps relax the pouch. Perhaps you are eating things that are too dry, or not chewing enough. So stick to soft stuff, cottage cheese, yogert, protein drinks, jello, eggs, refried beans, and cheese. Get most of your protein from your drinks and don't try to eat it all. Maybe you can only tolerate 1 oz of food at a time. These next months will be a food experiment. What agrees with you, what does not. I'm still learning. Also, if we are emotional, rushed, or whatever can cause us to barf! Sometimes just eating on our own quietly is best. I tend to eat faster when I am with other people. You're going to be ok, give yourself time. If you haven't already checked, I have some tips on my profile that may help.
Blessings, and merry christmas!
