Like Ive mentioned before my surgery is in 1 month and I am trying to get prepared as best as I can--I am cutting out all sugar, caffene and starches, I am replacing 2 meals with protein shakes and eating a low fat meal consisting of protein(chicken, eggs, cheese etc), fruit and veggies. If anyone has any other ideas or suggestions please help.
I have ordered Unjury unflavored whey for after surgery in case my tastes change and I was wondering were I can order Isopure (who has the most selection). I have noticed alot of people tend to recommend those 2 brands...any info would be great!
Im just getting so nervous now that its only a month away and I figure if I can get the eating under control then I can deal with all of my crazy emotions that Ive been having since getting approved-- Thank you in advance -- Lori

I have the vanilla and mix that with everything - including chili! lol Cant taste the difference, there's just a thicker consistency. I like it because you can mix this with water and only 6oz. I was and still am having a hard time getting in all my liquids so that was a big help to know my protein is going in. It is $29.68 here, but at GNC is $39 or $49 for the same 3lbs.
I also buy the Twinlab Calcium Citrate -- 60 Wafers, at the same website.
I wish you all the luck and if you have any more questions....ASK AWAY! Perserverance has Rewards!
bariatriceatig.com has some good protein too. Any whey flavorless is good and cheaper than unjury. Sounds like your diet is good, I am proud of you for starting to get used to new eating now, it will pay off later for you!! If you haven't already I have some pre-post op ideas on my profile. I also like a drink called protein delight, I like the white chocolate strawberry flavor. get samples. vitalady.com has samples, but her prices are not as good as bariatric eating. Stock up your pantry on post op foods too. I drank mostly protein, and pureed other foods in the blender post op. Be sure to cut out the soda too. I am so excited for you, keep up the good work Lori!!
Blessings,
Tami
i know you're getting excited and all but i do want to tell you to be cautious in your purchases. for my recovery i bought a few to many baby foods to help along in my progress and then when i got to that point - i couldn't do it or i had other foods that i did instead of that and that was kinda wasted. since you won't know if you are going to tolerate those foods or drinks - don't overbuy - until you know for sure that you can tolerate what you get. Good luck and keep us posted as the day gets nearer!
