what to eat when i can!!!!!!!!
Dear Diana,
please stay away from the celery for a little longer, peanut butter ( prefer the "natural" because the oil collects on top, you can let that drain off to make it less greasy ) would be ok and watermelon is good for you too, HOWEVER you're fairly new-post-op so you need to really ask your surgeon if you can already have that stuff. I was on straight clear liquids for three weeks after surgery, so I wouldn't recommend for you to have any solids quite yet, you just do what your surgeon tells ya
he knows whats best !!!!

My surgeon allowed mr to have watermelon at 2 1/2 weeks out told me to have all I want.... I chewed it up got all the juice out and spit out the meat of it and boy was it good....It also counts as liquids... Enjoy...
as for the peanutbutter I had that at 3+ weeks out and only a verylittle of it at a time.... Cyndee
Actually from what I've read, watermelon doesn't have much nutrition and some people don't do well with it. Try a little if your surgeon allows and see how you do. Peanut butter should be ok when the doc says you can have it, but I agree that celery is a terrible idea. Totally stringy fibers in there that are virtually impossible to chew up! Remember protein FIRST!
