**I'M SO EXCITED!!!***looking for an angel
I have been jumping thru hoops to get my approval and surgery b4 the 31st. My ins co will change the 1st of the year and the new co. doesnt cover it. Well today I spoke to Cigna and.....I AM APPROVED!!!!!!!
I am so excited I want to shout it from the roof tops!!
I have contacted the WLC to get a date for surgery. and they havent called me back yet.. my very anxious to get a date, I dont have much time left.
Also i keep looking at my profile and nobody has posted anything there or signed up to be my angel.
So if you have time please check me out.
my BMI is 58.3 and I weigh 395, you can imagine how excited I am about being able to start over my life with this surgery.

Maureen -
Congratulations! That is so awesome!
Can I ask - how hard was Cigna to deal with? I have insurance with Cigna and I am just now starting the process (as I just found out that our policy does not have a specific exclusion). I have heard some less than pleasant stories about dealing with Cigna.
Thanks.
Carole
Congratulations!!!! I hope you get your date tomorrow!!
IT's good to see so many Cigna approvals, I had Cigna also. I was amazed when I got approved! Now that I'm 2 months out I get mail from them ALL the time, showing who billed what and what they paid. I'm sure they weren't too thrilled that I had 2 admissions, 2 surgeries and 13 total days in the hospital!!!! Wasn't what I planned either LOL but thank God I survived and am doing well now!
If you have Cigna - just complete the 6 month diet with your PCP, don't try to get out of it!
I'm so happy for you that you are approved!!! It is awesome when you finally get that big OK from the insurance! Keep us posted on your date so we can cheer you on!
Much love, Carol V.
dear carol v,
i moved to jacksonville from miami after andrew, but I was born and raised in miami. Where are you living there and what hosp did you use?
Cigna is the ins my company has had, but on the 1st of the year they are changing to aetna, and aetna said they would not be covering this type of surgery. so I am so blessed to have gotten in b4 the 31st, let hope i dont have any complications because I dont know how they will handle the billing
love maureen
p.s. please write me at [email protected]
Maureen,
Congratulations! I had Cigna and was approved last year.
As a matter of fact, last year at this time I weighed 386 pounds and wore a size 5X. Last time I weighed about 3 weeks ago I weighed 232 and I now wear a 1X, size 18!
It will be an amazing journey, not always easy but ver rewarding. I continue on my journey in hopes of being the healthiest me I can be!
Good luck to you on your journey.
Rhonda
i know you know how I feel. I mean I will soon be able to go out in public and not worry if I will fit in the seat. I will be able to get up the stairs and not be gasping for air. I will be able to stand up with out needing help or my knees feeling like they are going to blow out.
Right now I wear a 30/32 an there is only one store I can buy that size at, and that size is getting very tight! Soon like you I will be able to fit in the ton of clothes I have the ranging from 14/16 to 22/24
I am so excited! I can't wait till I get a date!
I know it has to be very soon, because I only have ins coverage till the 31st.
Maureen,
I 'm praying that you get your surgery date before they change your insurance, I know just how you feel about starting your life over and I hope that it works out for you !!! I'm moving to JAX in a couple of weeks, maybe once I get there, we can get together sometimes
Anyways, just wanted to let you know I'm rooting for you and just hang in there, call them every day and bug them about a date LOL
I started out at a BMI of 57 and I 'd do this sugery over and over and over again. It saved my life!!!
Have a great day and God Bless !!
~Andie~
