oh lordy!!!!!!

When people are not informed about the surgery - they tend to judge and think the worse of this - especially if they feel that this is the "easy way out" as so many think. Most of family was supportive and even my job..but there have been a few who have been negative - for those - I don't care cause today due to the good Lord taking care of me through the process and the support of people here I survived and today I'm 128 lbs lighter and dressing sexier than ever which makes me feel GREAT about myself. I would not mention anything further to these naysayers even if it is mom..do what you must even it IT is alone..you have our support and thoughts and though that is not the same thing you will be in our thoughts and in a way not alone. AFTER surgery and AFTER you start losing weight and the naysayers see the difference and success of the surgery - then they'll have definately shut up. But follow the surgeon's orders to the T, and praying that you don't have any complications - you'll be alright - and possibly get acceptance later - but don't worry about it if they don't. You have friends and supporters here on this side!!! Best of luck to you.

Diana, where are you having your surgery. If I could I would visit you every day. Can you find a WLS angel close to your hospital. My surgery is on Dec 7, so in reality, I probably couldn't do you much good. But be sure I will be praying for you. Take care and please stay in touch. Carol

Hi Diana Some people just don't understand obesity and what we got through. You have to do what you feel is best for you and only you. I send you lots of good wishes and a speedy recovery. Just know there are alot of people here on "OH" who care and give loads of support. Please let us know when you get home and how you are doing. Priscilla
