Here is a question I hope someone can help with.

I heard that Dr. Rehnke ONLY does open RNYs and if you'd rather have a quicker healing time and less risk of infection and prefer the laproscopic RNY, then Dr. Jawad may be a better choice, but check it out. I have no facts on this for sure, but speaking for myself, I'm very happy I have minimal scarring and was able to return to work in a week. Jan

There are two Dr.Rehnke's. One is the WLS Surgeon who does three procedures, Both the Open & Laproscopic RNY as well as the Lap-Banding. His brother is the other. The Plastic Surgeon (but he doesn't take any insurance for the Plastic procedures). I'll be using Dr.Rehnke in April/May due to insuramce requirements. But the distance of future care or problems is my main concern for my choice of surgeons. Mike
