Yes I am getting married
I guess I suprised some of you earlier today in a post.
Amy wanted to know what we were doing for the hollidays. I guess I had spilled my news on the other board and did not here.
I met a gentleman this summer thru a singles site. Ironically, he lived 3 houses down from my nephew. Alton is a widower and works for the local Walmart distribution center. We immediatly liked what we saw in each other and discovered we had most of the same goals in life and I beliefs were basically very similiar. We were both looking for someone to grow old with, who would enjoy being in each other's company and miss the other one when we were not with each other. To make this a shorter post, Alton asked me the marry him several weeks ago. We had already planned to go to Tennessee where he is originally from for Christmas for me to meet his family and to bring back at least one grandkid for the Winter holiday. We now have mushroomed everything to bringing home, not one but 3. And to get married while they are here so he will have family to attend the wedding.
We had planned a private ceremony in our church with a dinner at a resturant afterwards. Tonight I addressed the wedding invitations (40 of them so far) and counted that at least 60 people
will be in attendance.
Most of my close friends want to come and I have at least 30 family members that live near by.
The dress is bought, (from a Penney's sale rack) and Alton's suite is bought. The church and resturant is scheduled and most of my friends are making plans to attend.
When I made the plans to have the WLS surgery, I never thought about my future and a possibility of a husband. The first year I concentrated on getting myself healthy.
Now I have to concentrate on not eating all the candy Alton buys.
