I did something just for me today!!!

Hi all, I know this may sound silly, but I have always wanted a tattoo... when I was really heavy, I would have never done it but today I DID IT!!! Actually, I got 2- a butterfly over a flower. I wasn't too terrible and I really like it! It is on my shoulder so no one has to see it unless I want them too. Just another reason to be happy that I decided to have the surgery! Terri

Hey Terri! I got your note in the mail and will write you soon. Just wanted to say good for you for doing something that you wanted to do for yourself. I am not a big tattoo person but hey if you like it then that's all that matters! I always thought about if I ever got a tattoo it would on my upper chest then when I am 90 and a little old lady in my nursing home the nurses will laugh at my tattoo that will by then probably be somewhere around my waist. LOL! Kat

Oh Terri! You daring girl! If that 's what you wanted then good for you! I never felt that I did but when I watch that tv show Miami Ink I have second thoughts. Thanks so much for the card. I am still waiting. I have been held up with some pulmonary stuff but should have a date soon. The world will know when I do!

Laurie, Glad to hear that you should have a date soon. Sorry about the pulmonary problems but trust they will be resolved before your surgery and completely gone when the weight comes off!! I also like that show Miami Ink- it is cool! Maybe when you loose all the weight, we will go get one together!! Terri

Congrats to you - I went and got a 2nd ear piercing when I got to my 1yr anniversary. Don't sweat it and you said you did it for you - so enjoy it!

Terri, congratulations. I got my first tattoo 9 months post op. A phoenix with my surgery date below it. Enjoy the tat.
