It's been awhile, but I am back :)
Well, where to begin...first I have lost a total of 75 lbs.!!! I am feeling good inthat aspect, but I am having a hard time getting in protein and water. I have noticed I am loosing my hair...alot. I know this is may fault with how lax I have gotten withthe protein, water, and vitamins. I was doing well untill two weeks ago when the hurricane hit. Being without power for a week and a half was hard getting the foods I needed and I have been so stressed that everytime I tried to eat my stomach would just clench up, what a horrible feeling. Things are setleing down, but I am now quite exhausted from such a poor diet.
I did discover somting yesterday when I was restocking my fridge and freezer after the storm, Diet Snapple on Ice. The yare the most delicious sugar free ice pops I have had to date. I can go through that box like water (which is good cause I NEED the water!)
Anyway I have updated my picture on my site, but need to update again, unforntuately one of my darling children dropped and broke my digital camera so I will have to wait till I can get a new one or until someone else can take my pic.
It is amazing the things I am noticing now that I am so much lighter, going to the movies and having room around me in the seats is so much fun! my fingers are smaller and I am wearing rings I haven't worn in years and I can even where reg width shoes now!!
well, I just wanted to touch base with y-all and say to those who have recently had surgery "way to go!" It is soo worth it all. There may be days when you are not so sure, but when the weight melts off it all seems so right.
Congratulations on your weight loss!!! I'm glad to see you post! You were having your surgery right around the time I was waiting for approval! I had mine finally on 10/13 so I'm 3 weeks post op now and SO glad to be on the losing side!!!
Wilma - what a storm huh? I'm in Miami, was actually in the hospital when the storm hit. My apt (south dade) got power in 3 days, so by the time I was released I could come home to normalcy. Your area sounded pretty bad tho, I'm sorry you had to go so long without power. I kept thinking that anyone on any kind of special diet must be suffering without power. PLEASE try now and get your fluids in! My friend (now 4 months post op) got dehydrated after the storm while her power was out and ended up back in the hospital!
Thanks for the tip on the ice pops, I'll look for those. I've been enjoying the Publix SF popsicles like crazy! I'm glad to see you are doing well - and posting again. Take care and keep us posted!!!! Carol V
Amy, good to have you back! Girlfriend, you must get your protein, water and vitamins in. This is a little early to lose hair, and it could get worse. You also don't want to lose muscle in your weight loss, so you have to get your protein in or your body will leach it from your muscles! And your water....so, straighten up, pull up your bootstraps
So now that I've "yelled" at you, congratulations on the weight loss! I am so excited for you!!! Its great to see the changes in you already!!!!
Blessings,
Tami
