That my hair loss will eventually stop! Been loosing it for about a month now, I'm 5 months out, and I knew this was coming, but it's a bit disconcerting to see a big wad of hair in the shower drain! It's so worth it though, and I'll gladly go bald permanently & buy a wig if that's what is to come. Had surgery on May 24th and I'm down 90lbs! Thanks guys! Karen

I Karen, your picture looks great, and 90 lbs woo-hoo!!!!! I'm down 77 and feel great. My hair started to fall out about 2 months ago, and is just beginning to stop now. Be sure to take all your vitamins, that does help. Some talk about a good shampoo, but maybe someone else remembers the name. I just did not stress my hair out with anything else but hair color. I let it air dry, thought the less trauma the better. It will stop. Can't wait to see you again. blessings my dear friend, Tami

Karen, My hair started falling out at month 3 and stopped at month 5. At 5 months I started taking an herbal supplement for hair, nails and skin. I'm shampooing with Nioxin and it seems to be helping my hair grow back. The hair loss is normal. It WILL grow back! Congratulations on your success. Rhonda

interestingly enough I did not lose that much hair even though i have thin hair heridarily and I was nervous about losing more after surgery however and thank God I didn't. It's actually gotten a bit better - the protein i eat really has helped..so continue with the fluids and eat/drink all that protein!

I too lost hair around 5 months out....lasted couple months. I increased my protein...not sure it helped, but was told it would. Now the wave and curl of my youth has returned! Second childhood I guess! Hang in there, Marla

Yes, your hair loss will eventually stop but you may have a few more weeks of it. I have this story to encourage you......Since we had been without electricity when Wilma came thru I went to a hairdresser (I usually do my hair myself but could not stand the thoughts of using cold water....and no blow dryer.) As she was combing and then blow drying my hair she commented on how THICK my hair was.....well, when I told her about my post surgical hair loss, she couldn't believe it. So, you see, there is hope.....hang in! Great weight loss! luvitsunnyv
