Hi! I want to thank everyone for all the wonderful emails I have recieved. I came home last night. I was tired, but so glad to be home. I needed skilled nursing when I got out of the hospital. This was not due to the surgery. It really was not bad. I did have one very bad day. They had never had anyone with WLS before, due to that the nurses gave me my meds right after breakfast and it was to much to soon. I was so lucky that there was a nurse in another area that had WLS,she set them straight. While there we did an unoffical weight check. It showed almost 29 pounds down in 13 days. I was full of fuild in my legs and face and now I have ankles again. A special Thank You to MY ANGEL Amy. IMP gail

I am so happy to see you posting again! And know we are all here for you as you walk thru your first phases of this incredible journey. Some days will be good, some will be bad and some will be downright trying, but it is worth it all in the end when you feel healthier! So glad you are home and can really start a normal routine again. Take care, Amy

Welcome home! I know how you feel, I had my RNY on 10/13 and didn't get home until this Fri 10/28. Had a complication and a 2nd surgery, and the hurricane probably didn't help - but I'm home now too. There is no place like home!!! I too had 2 nurses who had the RNY and they were extremely helpful to me. God bless them. You take care, take it slow. So glad to hear you are home and well!!! Keep in touch! Carol V
