support groups in Tampa??

I had my surgery done in NY but live in Tampa. Can someone direct me on local support groups? Thanks

Thus far, I have surgery on Monday at 9 am. I pray nothing interfers with it.............like Wilma. It seems like you're on your way now. Completing the first six months were the hardest for me. Everything flew by after that. I wish you luck. Take care!

Keke & Kellie we are looking into a report that the Brandon Beach House has closed down but even if it has we will find another location and post it before the weekend of our next support meeting on November 6th. Kellie, it's not exactly Tampa, but they are good support groups. The second saturday of every month at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, at 10:00 am there is a support group meeting. And we are starting a second one for people who are out at least 6 months and lost 100 pounds, it will be the first Tuesday of ever month, at 7:00pm at Morton Palnt Hospital. If that is too far to travel, I think there is a support group that meets at Tampa General Hospital. Good luck.

Hi Kelli, I belong to another support group in Tampa. It meets at Town n' Country Hospital on the second Tuesday of every month and the last Thursday of every month. We are the patients of Dr. Alfredo Fernandez of Tampa Bariatrics. We do have a lot of members from other Dr's here in Tampa attend our group. Town n' Country hospital is not that far from Lutz. Jennifer Broder-Katz is my dietician. She is wonderful. Matter of fact I go see her in the first week of November. She is worth driving to Brandon to listen to her talk. Gina T.
