Tampa, Dr. Murr - Waiting for approval!!
Hello everyone! 
I Have been thinking about WLS for a very long time. I have obtained all the paperwork needed by my insurance company -- Have gone to see the WONDERFUL Dr. Murr.
I called my insurance company today: Aetna, POS Choice II... and they informed me that they have the paperwork and it is now in review.
I also had my gall bladder scanned today - don't know the results, but, I've been in pain for about a month now - but, not enough to put me in the hospital. I'm trying to wait for approval on the WLS and then can have both done at the same time.
I guess I just needed to post this, as I have not told a lot of people about my decision - only immediate family. Because I do not want bad reactions and people downing my decision, etc.... Like one time, I went to the doctors and he told me that "You don't weigh that much. Go on a diet and come back in 3 months."
My BMI is at 41-42, I have high blood pressure, diabetes, gerd and slight sleep apnea. I want to LIVE and LIVE a LONG TIME!!!!! That is the reason for my decision.

Hi Lila,
Packing my bags to fly out of Ft Myers on Sat but took a minute to read the board. I think you picked the best surgeon in Florida...I'm prejudice and was so lucky to have the golden hands taken care of me. I have films of my new stomach and its so perfectly formed. Very impressive surgeon. His staff is topnotch. If a week or 2 pass and you dont hear back from S.O, put a call into her. They get so busy and don't realize how anxious we are.
Wow since I started replying I got so tired, so maybe I can sleep tonight.
Let us know how goes. I was approved in 4 days and we needed new approval since Dr M wanted to do lap rny and my ins a few weeks before added laproscopic so we had to get a new approval. It only took 3 days since S.O. knows her job so well.
Congrats in picking the best doc, JMHO. I'm sure we will be hearing your date shortly.
