Did you meet the challenge?

Last Wednesday, I issued a challenge to everyone to get out and do something physical over the weekend. It was lovely here in Central FL, so no excuses do avoid it because of weather. Anyway, who met the challenge? Share with us how you got some additional activity in this past weekend! I wound up having to work Saturday, so that cut into my plan for biking the trail, but I still wanted to do something outdoors and managed to squeeze it in. I played frisbee for a long time, took my puppy to the dog park and ran around with her, then walked and walked the mall in search of a black cardigan (or some other "must-haves"). Next weekend, I hope to hit the bike trail. Have a great Monday, Friends! Amy

Ok, I cannot lie. I failed the challenge. I worked all weekend (work out of home office) so I didn't get much of anything done except work. I can't walk a lot due to condition of my feet, but I was hoping to get out and find something that I could do. You're right...it was a gorgeous weekend! Betti

Amy, Saturday, Sarah Margaret and I went to the parks and walked, walked, walked. Up and down hills and stairs too. then Sunday we went to Typhoon Lagoon and walked some more and did some swimming. As of this morning, I am down 2 pounds from Friday. If we count from PRE-OP then I am down 107 pounds and down 96 since my surgery in March. Terri

Glad you had such a great time. I'm "jones-ing" for a day at Universal myself, hopefully after Wilma passes, I can go again!

I saw the challenge and met it!! Veni, vidi, vici - I came, I saw, I conquered!!! I went to the gym and did my step aerobics class and then on Sunday I bought a squishy ball to use at home and exercised my legs. Today my calves are VERY sore, but I'm planning to go to class at least 3 times this week to keep up with my exercise that I've missed so much! Thanks for the challenge, Amy Lou!!!! Jan

You and those darn step classes... I wish I had your coordination !

Oh, silly YOU, Amy!! It took months for me to get some of the steps in those classes. Some teachers are more "dance-y" than others and the ones that just do repetitive moves are easy to learn, but the ones that twist, turn, step and slide along in a coordinated move are much more difficult for me. I have not a dancing bone in my body and I've walked out of lots of classes to give up, only to go back and try it one more time! I decided if the rest of the class could figure it out, so could I and now I can do it, too! Jan

I was going to start running this weekend, bought my new shoes and everything, I didn't get to start yet, but this week I will start running 2-4 miles a day in the mornings. I have started to work out on an exercise ball...better late then never since I haven't excercise since I had surgery. I will meet the challenge by the meet and greet...I hate mid-terms! Tracey
