I have a date!
My date is Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at 8:00 a.m.!!
Hi, everyone, I've been lurking on this site since I heard the seminar given by Dr. Lord at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola in June. I have BC/BS Federal insurance. There was confusion, delay in getting the paperwork to them. Even with a signed receipt they were unable to "find" my paper-work. It was mailed once (return receipt requested) and faxed. So there are two copies of my paperwork floating around in the insurance burecreacy. After many phone calls, I reached a customer service rep who was REALLY willing to help. The papers were faxed directly to her and I had my approval within 4 hours.
My question for everyone is about arthritis. I have given up mobic and aspirin and am feeling the arthritis. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who had arthritis (especially in the shoulder) before surgery. How was it after WLS? Do you know of any safe medications that can be taken for arthritis after WLS if there are still needed?
Congrats on your date, Denie! I'm looking forward to hearing more from you as you move forward. So far, I have decided to use Dr. Lord too, so I am very anxious to hear how it is going for others who are chosing him to do their surgery. I attended his seminar a few months back and was very impressed with him.
What kind of surgery are you having?
Best wishes,
Betti
