Well as of 7:30 am today, October 12th, I have been one year post-op. I can not believe a whole year has gone by. I am down 85#. I have a new life that I could not imagine when all this started. I still have weight to lose to be at my goal and I have been on a plateau for months now. I am sure I could have lost more by now if I had pushed myself more. The truth of the matter is that maybe I didn't work the program as well as I could have but I have savored every moment in this journey. I am one of the lucky ones with no complications. I have lost weight, eaten pretty much what I wanted (minus bad for me stuff of course) and enjoyed becoming a new person. My family has been very supportive and every day seems like a new adventure. I have become more confident and taken control of my life. I enrolled and passed real estate school and am in the process of getting my Florida real estate license. This is something I would have never tried before. I want to thank you all for being there. The support of this board and my special angel (that's you, Amy B) has made this 51 year old woman feel like a million $$$. Yes, I will lose more weight and my life will be healthier and longer. I will try to be helpful to others as they travel this road. Thanks to you all Wow!!!! What a trip!!! Carol

Congrats on your anniversary and I just know you will get past that plateau. I am only 6 days post-op and to me 85# sounds fantastic. Also congrats on passing your real estate test, for I am sure you will do wonderful with the confidence you have. I just hope to do as well as you in a year. Sandy
