Is there any word on AprilinFla since

Hey Brenda... I just recently {about an hour ago} tried calling April at the hospital. She sitll is in ICU but the nurse said that as soon as a room came availabe that she was being sent to it...so that is a good thing. I am gonna try to call back later on if I get the chance. If not I hope to hear from Jamie this evening. Will post when I know more. Becky

I've been out of town since yesterday morning and am just now able to check the board. Have had April on my mind the whole time. Thank goodness things are looking better. Will keep her in my prayers. Betti

Becky- Have you any word on exactly what the nature of the additional surgery and if it was one additional surgery or two. I am a little confused. Please tell her I send her my love and prayers for a speedy and complete recovery. I would call her but I know she doesn't need the added hassle of receiving a telephone call from a total stranger.

April developed a leak and had to have surgery to repair the leak. She is doing well, but will be in the hospital longer than expected as she will require IV antibiiotics to prevent peritonitis from developing. I saw her today and she is in good spirits all things considered. Her take on this is that if it was going to happen she was glad it happened while she was in the hospital and not home. Her surgeon caught it early. Once she is moved to a regular room I am sure she would be open to phone calls. The hospital number is 727-462-7000. Julie

Thanks, Julie. Thank goodness her surgeon was on top of things and discovered the leak early on. Sounds like she is on the road to recovery now, though. Give her a hug for us and tell her she is still in our thoughts and prayers. Betti

Thanks Julie, well that is why we take that awful liquid the morning after surgery to check for leaks....glad its being taken care of. We've all prayed for her and I too believe its just in God's plan for her to heal faster and without complications.
