Anyone had Funoplication & Gastric Bypass together?

Hi, Do you know anyone who has had gastric bypass & funoplication (acid reflux) surgeries at the same time? Thanks Sharon

got the fundiplcation ten years ago, great operation if u need it. but it is incompatable with gastric bypass,rny, as the part of the stomach used to do the wrap is the part used for the pouch. In my case I will have a ds. fitted under the wrap. sort of 1/3 of my stomach being removed. leaving the wrap in place. and relying on the malasortive feature to loose the weight. once u have the wrap,u cannot have the rny, just the ds. the two surgeries are both major undertakings. the ds and wieght loss will most likely cure the gerd, a rny will only agravate the gerd. I would have a ds and see what happens.
