Support Groups in Orlando

Hey Guys, I am hoping to get some info on Support Groups in the Winter Park area or surrounding areas. My cousin lives in Winter Park and had her surgery on 05-17-05, she is needing to find a good support group in that area, any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Beth

Support groups meet at Celebration health for all categories at 7:30 pm on the 2nd Thursday and for lap banders at 2:00 Pm on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Call 407-303-4504 for info.

Beth - our Dr. has a new group forming to have the first meeting next Thursday the 1st of September at the Herndon Library on Colonial Drive. Have her sign up also at our yahoogroups - we can offer support to her there as well. ([email protected]). We'd love to meet her - and this might be closer to her area. Hi Ruth, Thanks for the info on this one. I think that this will be a little closer for her. What time does the meeting start? I will have her go to the yahoogroups as well, but i have been telling her to join OH since before her surgery, and she still hasn't. I think face-to-face support will be best for her, and meeting people that can give her support will be best. I do the best that i can, but being 7 hours away, the only contact I normally have is through e-mail and phone. Again, thanks for the info. Beth
