Introducing startches?????
Jen--It seems all the doc's plans are different. What does your doc's plan say? My surgeon's plan didn't even allow me to add veggies until I could eat 2 ounces of solid protein. That was about 4 months out for me. But, I have to admit, I did cheat and add some occasional veggies. Then after that fruit was added. Basically we were not supposed to add starches until at goal. I do eat a tiny bit of potatoes and maybe rice occasionally (at 2+ years out). But really they do us no good and certainly don't help us to lose weight. It's my understanding that they only cause us to crave more carbs and tend to make us slugglish. The key to succeeding at this thing is to focus on filling our pouch with the things that will keep it full-ie: solid proteins. The earlier in your journey you are able to focus on that the easier it is later on. Good luck to you.
