Insurance Questions

Hello, I am new to obesityhelp.com and hoping to have the surgery soon. I currently have United Health Care Choice Plus, and there is an exlcusion however I was told by one Cust service rep that if it is deemed "medically necessary" they may cover it. Please give me any advice on this! Thanks Dena

Hey Dena! It's me Cicily! Go into the insurance part of this website and look to see how many people have us United Health Care Choice Plus. There you'll find how long it took to get approval, the date, and what kind of experience that person had! I hope this will be a little help to you Good luck! Thanks Cicily, I have had a chance to review that area but alot of the dates were from 2000-2003. I understand that there has been quite a few changes with insurance companies and WLS in the past year so I was wondering if any one has had problems with getting approval through UHC. Yeah, That sounds good! I understand that Dr. Bundz is not doing the surgery anymore!, I guess that leaves Dr. Jawad, my aunt was on of his gastric bypass patients and she said he was good. I might have to change my PCP cause she is so . One minute she is supportive and the next she isn't. I'm 3 months in my supervised diet so I don't know what to do about her yet! C. Wright
