Okay, I'm the one with a surgery date for Friday and two very sick kids. I just spent two hours bleaching every surface in the house and am going to put the kids in the bath soon (it should help with their fever too). I am drinking tons of water, wshing my hands constantly, taking my vitamins, and everynow and then opening the windows for a bit of air (but not long though, it is HOT out). I looked at the airbourne, but I am not sure if I am allowed some of those extra vitamins before the surgery. Anyother ideas? My girls are four so staying away from them is not an option because they are very clingy when sick, in fact they just dsicovered me away from them and are crying for me Okay back to the sick ward. Considering wearing garlic around my neck, Amy

Get a face mask like they wear in the hospital. Tell your girls you are playing doctor, so as not to scare them.

Amy, I agree with the face mask and also Lysol everything and use the antibacterial gel stuff between hand washing. Terri

One more tip?? We have a family of 6 and are almost never sick but when a bug is in the air we take xtra care to wipe down all door knobs and light switches. Germs germs germs! I think it helps out some anyway! Best of luck!! Sallykate
