Well today I had the MRI of my brain, Tuesday I had a shunt study that was positive for bubbles crossing over. And Wednesday I had my TEE, my throat was pretty sore after that so later that night I called a friend and asked HIM to get me some diet sunkist and pretzels, he said he would, then called from the store when they didn't have sunkist to find out what else I wanted. He then showed up with chicken soup also...how sweet, I told my mom he "passed the test". I'm still working on where this is going. I had taken pain medication and my other friend said I should have used that as an excuse for inappropriate behavoir....well it's not really inappropriate just maybe not timed properly. Anyway, I'll let you all know what else is found out in the tests...so far, I definately have a PFO (hole in heart which does allow clots to pass through and go to my brain), the TEE showed it was 2mm and would be a candidate to be closed via a catherter procedure. I see the cardiologist on August 8th. ~Sarah

I'm guessing this is good news that this can be done via cath? Glad the tests are over with and will be keeping you in my thoughts and looking forward to hearing more updates. Take care Sarah.

Sarah, I'm glad to hear the testing is done and hope they don't find any other problems. It sounds like the "repair" via cath is the better of all options so I hope that works out for you. As for your friend... Over 31 years ago I married the guy that came to my dorm room and fed me stew and ice cream b/c I was too weak from the flu to even feed myself. Sounds like your friend might be one to hang on to! I'm keeping you in my prayers! Vickie J.

Girl, I hope everything works out for you - that testing stuff is never fun to go through so it's nice you had someone to go through it with you. Saying a prayer for you that both things turn out for the best and you'll be on the road to FULL recovery soon and that will be in the past.
