work and food.
Well here i am fighting the urge to eat the food here brought to work. its so damn hard to not eat it. I wish this darn surgery would hurry up for me. Losing this 10% is so hard for me. I have about 10-9 months left of the weekly classes and have about 3 visits left to see the dietition and 10 more monthly visits to the doctor, and about 9 months or more of the weekly classes. This sucks so bad. I dont think its very fair that they make you go throught all of this. I dont know.. I JUST WANT THIS DONE I WANT MY LIFE BACK. I WANT TO BE ABLE TO DO THINGS WITH MY KIDS AGAIN, ENJOY THE BEACH, ENJOY GOING OUT WITH CO WORKERS FOR LUNCH. ITS SO FRUSTRATING...
Emily,
This is something that has helped me keep from "grazing" and munching since my surgery.... when I want to eat, I drink some cold water instead. I've found that as long as I'm putting something in my mouth/tummy, I don't go nuts b/c I can't eat right then.
My surgeon (Dr. Sieloff) wants us to only eat 3 meals a day with an occasional little snack in the evening. I've worked very hard to follow his guidelines and it is reallly paying off in pounds lost! So hang in there! You know your food intake will be severely restricted after wls so start building good habits now. I know you won't regret it!!

Hi Emily, You must have CHP. I am currently going through their year long program too. I started Jan. 11th. before the new requirements of 10%. I have to lose 8% but this has been so hard. I have 6 months left and 29 lbs to lose. I just can't stay motivated. Like you I will be doing great and then my coworker will bring me lunch. I am off work for the summer though and I hope that will help that problem. Do you go to the weekly classes. I go the ones on Tuesday's at 4:00. I have probably seen you there but didn't know who you were. Just hang in there it will all be worth it in the end.
I can understand that urge to eat when people bring food to work - especially sweets, like chocalate cheese cake, even now I have to fight not to eat that..what I do is bring my own healthy snacks so I'm not tempted to eat what I shouldn't. If they ask if I want some - I say no thanks I brought something for me..thanks! and move away from that area. I'm sorry you have to have such a long process but hopefully with it you're developing healthy habits, don't beat yourself up over this, HANG IN THERE!!!!
