Looking for job

Hi everyone, I have been employed with a real estate company in Coral Springs for about a year now and we just changed insurance carriers. Now our new insurance policy will not cover the surgery (United Healthcare) because of exclusion in the policy. I am looking to change jobs in order to find an insurance company that covers this procedure, lap RNY. I am very talented in all different areas, I have been an administrative assistant for 10 years. Does anyone have any suggestions? Your help is greatly appreciated. Broward County area or possibly Boca Raton. Love to All!!! Angel

Have you thought about a County or State job. Also, just becuase there is an exclusion, if it is proven to be medically necessary, you might be able to fight it. Have you talked to your primary physician? Have you chosen a surgeon? They might be able to help in some way. Phyliss

Angel- Did you have approval from the other insurance carrier? If you did the new carrier may have to honor it. I would check with your HR person. Or did you have something from them indicating they would cover the surgery pending you completed a supervised diet or something. I would check into it if I were you.
