It's official...Tropical Storm Emily has formed and is estimated to be a hurricane by 8 p.m. on Wednesday!!! Not sure where we are in that dang CONE OF POSSIBILITY!?!?!?!? Sarah

Oh I guess I am going to have to get used this. I bought a portable generator now I have to find someone to hook up a transfer switch next to my panel. I really be feel so much better as long as I can be in my own "clean" house. I schringe at the best hotels that have dirty baths so I will be ready maybe for Emily if I can find an electrician that won't bite ($$$)me. Any suggestions down here in Ft Myers,Naples are give me yell.

Hi Ginny--We brought our generator down when we moved from Maine. We had a transfer wsitch up there, but never got around to it down here. Been meaning to get that done--However, it worked just fine with extension cords during Charlie. How are you doing in your journey btw?

Linda sorry it took me so long to reply. My cable has been down and when I finally got my mail it took me two days to get through it. I am doing okay. I have lost 52 lbs. I'm now 5 months out Time flew by! It's going slow I think but surgeon says I am ahead of schedule so I am not going to sweat it. I get on my pilates and gazelle every day and am feeling pretty good. Tomorrow I go for an UGI to try and find out why I am still vomitting.

HERE WE GO AGAIN. !!!!!! We are still trying to clean up the mess the last visiter, Dennis left. We are going to have a busy "tourist" season this year. Only thing is the "tourists" are wild, loud and messy. Maybe they need to read the "rules of manners when visiting". Hope everyone is okay from Dennis's run through. Carol

I just looked at the charts at the National Hurricane Center web site and looking at the wind projection charts it looks like Emily has a bead on the East side of Florida this time!! Though thankfully it is really too early too tell for sure. http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/

I know!!! I sure hate hurricane season! This one looks like it's headed right for us in Miami! Going to be a stressfull week - 1) may get my surgery approved (how's that for positive thinking) the request went out yesterday (!!!) - and 2) EMILY!!! Whenever a storm is down in that area it always looks like it's headed right for south Florida! One of the local radio guys call it the "cone of death" LOL and Miami is right in the middle!! Well I guess we watch the weather all week and pray for the best! Take care all, Carol in Miami

Ya just never know what is gonna happen. It is very far away. It is starting to feel like last year though when they just kept coming this way.
