JUST got back from evacuation for Hurricane dennis....

And When I left my incision had started hurting, actually burning. I'm finally home and I noticed yesterday and today its hot to touch, hurts like HELL to touch and its oozing mildly. I know this can be a sign of infection but I don't know if this can wait till my appointment on Wed or if I should call tonight!! What do yall think. I'm actually a lil concerned about calling my doc cause I don't know what kind of damage he may be cleaning up!! Any advise is surley appeciated thanks, Lori

Lori, why don't you call him tonight? He might ask you to go to the ER. Don't wait if you are in pain and the incision is oozing! Feel better and let us know how you're doing. Becky

Lori, Sounds like an infection. Call the doc now. I had one and didn't call the doctor right away and the infection spread from just my incision area to my whole body. I am still fighting it 4 weeks later. Please call tonight. Kat

Hey Lori, I just got back from evacuating myself. Never loss power at my house!! Woo-hoo!! (Not looking forward to Emily!! Boo!!) Is Dr. Nye your surgeon? If so, give Rose a call first thing in the morning to ask her about it. They may have you come in just to look at it before your appt. An infection is nothing to play with and you don't want to inadvertantly get sick. They are very helpful in that office about such things.
