Jacksonville Support Group

Sallykate is out of state right now, I thought I would repost about the meeting. We would love to have a big turnout! I will repost this at least once more before the meeting. Howdy all... Well Kim (WildCat Lady)and I have talked and nailed down a plan. Our first meetup will be held at the Westside Park across from NAS Jax. We felt this was a good place because it is very central. It is located right by the 295 on ramp and off ramp. Also it has big pavillions in case of rain and will provide shade as well. We want to meet July 16th at 5pm so that it is not too hot. For our first "re-grouping" we thought we would do a little potluck dinner. Nothing fancy... just simple. I am putting a sign up list below and would appreciate you letting us know which catergory you can provide from. We ask that everyone bring their own drink. We will provide all paper products. We are so looking forward to getting together with you all and talking about the things we would like to do as a group. Don't forget to bring your b4 and afters!! We can't wait to see. ***NOTE*** EVERYONE IS WELCOME... NO MATTER WHAT TYPE SURGERY YOU HAVE HAD... PRE OR POST-OP DOES NOT MATTER! BRING FAMILY MEMBERS IF YOU WOULD LIKE. Kim, I will be there with my husband and youngest son. I think My oldest has a birthday party to go to that night. I am bringing salad and dressings- let me know for how many please. Thanks Terri

Kim- Hey, I just wanted to say that I am very interested in a Jax Support group. But I have a work seminar that Sat.- So I can not make it. But please keep us posted on any further meetings! Linda

Hey I plan to be there and bring my roommate Fran. I was thinking about the best item to bring. So I have decided I will bring 2 lbs of steamed Shrimp on ice. Thought that would be good for pre and post op people and the hot weather.
