Welcome... Congrats on the new baby. I am sure he will be a bundle of joy. You have a name picked out for him yet? We were stationed at Macdill AFB back in 1992. It has changed alot since then.

Hey Vickie, Yes, Tampa and MacDill has changed a lot. Hope you are holding up with all the hurricane activity in the Panhandle! Heather

Thanks Heather, We have held up fine. Had lots of wind and rain. Lost power for about 7 hours. Lots of tree limbs and debree laying around. No damage to the house. The beach wa**** pretty bad though. Take care Vickie

Welcome to the FL board! I think I spoke with you before from another board--but I'll say hi again!! My hubby and I are not from here either, he is from Bordeaux, France and I am from Michigan...thinking of going back up there though because I miss it terribly!! It is definitely harder to meet friends down here than expected. With school and work and life, everyone is so busy! I bet you will be too with a new baby on the way! Congrats!!! (I had been wondering what it's like to have a baby post-op as we don't have any yet, but plan on it in the future--just scared of weight gain and all that!) Hey Phoenix, I don't understand why it is so hard to make friends, but it sure is! SO far this pregnancy has had less complications than my pregnancy before surgery. I haven't had high blood pressure, no gestational diabetes, and no swelling. Eating is a pain, cause I feel like I am doing it all the time! I haven't gained too much, I was really afraid of putting it on, but many post op mommies have said they gained about 20 lbs and lost it very quickly after the baby came. So, I am not going to worry so much anymore! Talk to you later. Heather
