I am home from surgery.....
Hi everyone,
Thank you sooooooo....very much for all your thoughts & prayers during my surgery.
Everything went well... I am still very gassy & VERY sore. I am keeping every bit of liquid down with no problems. I will tell anyone considering to have surgery, make sure you talk to people pre/post op. I was in a lot more pain than I ever expected,
I hope to start feelin better soon!!!
Again... thank you for all the love & support each of you have given me!!!
Hugs,
Jen W.

Jen--I am thinking that wls must be similar to childbirth. With time you forget about the pain and discomfort because the rewards are so great. Lots of people don't talk about the pain. I think there were two things that shocked me--one was how weak I was for so long and two was how difficult it was to drink anything. Sounds like you are doing great on the drinking thing. The gas really does subside. Take care.
Congratulations!!! Yea I think the pain will be a distant memory - I certainly don't remember mine though my ma said that I was constantly pushing on the demerol pump. Ooh glad I don't remember. Now with the healing process. Keep up with your liquids and light walking and pretty soon we'll be hearing how much you're losing! Yippeee!
