receipe ideas

Hey, those of you who know Dr Kims diet plan, got any ideas of some foods to eat 1 month out? Seems I can't come up with breakfast and lunch ideas. I can't eat starches or beans yet. Meal times are boring for me, and I don't want to fill up on empty calories. I am super sensitive to sugars too. I have chef daves book, but that is mostly dinner ideas. Thanks, Blessings, Tami

Hey Tami, I started feeling the same way at one month. I would eat a scrambled egg w/ a little cheddar cheese for added flavor, cottage cheese with either no sugar added canned peaches or frozen peaches (I would defrost them, cut into small pieces and add splenda to them). That's all I remember right now. If I think of something else I ate I will e-mail you. Tammy

Tami, Not sure what your doc allows at 1 month out, but I was able to eat things like deviled ham, deviled chicken, etc. I also ate whatever sounded good to me (if it was "legal" of course) even if it wasn't a traditional breakfast food. I was allowed "soft or crispy" foods at that stage so I could eat the 1-2 T. canned meats and a Captain's Wafer cracker. I also could eat doubled cheese toast (my favorite breakfast) Cut 1 slice of low cal wheat bread in 1/2. Take 1 slice of low fat or 2% cheese (I like the cheddar) and fold it in half & place on top of bread. Toast to your taste. I could only eat 1/3 to 1/2 and often tossed the rest but it was warm and tasted good to me. I still often fix it and eat it in the car on the way to work or the gym. I hope you find some new ideas, but don't rule something out just because it isn't a "normal" breakfast food. Vickie J.

At one month out I ate a lot of eggs, cottage cheese, shrimp salad, chicken salad, tuna salad, egg salad...most and soft! Hope this helps, Rhonda
