It's been a while since I was here. I wanted to say hi. I am month post op and -88 lbs. I am doing well. I hope all of you are doing just a well. I am now working on getting my husband to have the surgery. It looks like we might have to go the pay our selves route with him since our insurance stop covering this after I had mine done. Has any gone this route and if so can you give me a price for the whole thing?

Congrats on the weight loss! You're doing great!! I can't help you with the cost of self-pay since my insurance covered it. I can tell you that the total of everything I was "billed" was right at $25,000.00. Of course, the insurance doesn't pay the billed amount so you might be able to work a deal with the hospital & docs to take less than they bill the insurance co.. Good luck! Vickie J.

My husband and I are also trying to get the surgery done, now that our insurance has excluded it, we're going to vocational rehab this afternoon as a matter of fact, to get things rolling. However, if you are interested in self pay, I know its a long way from tallahassee but Holy Cross Hospital in fort lauderdale has a program set up to allow people to self pay on a payment program. I hope this helps and if possible, look into vocational rehab, they may be able to help you too!!!
