Beep, Beep, Honk, Honk, Toot, Toot, (oops better not do that one) Hey Charlie Girl, I will be out 2yrs. on July 8th. What a wonderful and challenging time it has been. I am so blessed to have had this surgery and I'm at goal and maintaining. I have met some awesome people through this journey too. The best was when I got to meet you and the others this past weekend. We all share a special bond. We have a unique Sisterhood! Life just keeps getting better and better. Hoping you have a fun and safe 4th celebration. I'll be celebrating mine at the beach too-the Jersey Beach that is. I'm using my cousins computer while here. If she didn't have one, I would be going through OH withdrawls. Later Gator! Your Gastric Buddy, Jeannie

BEEP! BEEP! HONK! HONK! Hubby and I are going to try something new this weekend. I am doing all the meal planning and cooking for us. We will walk every morning. He is a diabetic and having trouble getting used to eating 6 small meals a day. He said he would try whatever I sugest. I figured it is a 3 day weekend and a great time to get us both motivated. Have a happy and safe 4th. Phyliss

Well....now....I read that first sentence....and I thought...geeee maybe this is more information than I need. But I kept reading...thank goodness. Dougie and I tried something new last night...but I sure couldn't talk about it here..... Anyway....I eat about 6 meals a day....that way I can count my protein bar and protein shake as a meal instead of a 'snack'.....hehe. Have a great weekend.... And if you need a recipe or two....let me know... I'm making shrimp creole for dinner...oh yum. Hugs Charlie

Honk, Honk, Beep, Beep, I'm 5 months out from Lap RNY and doing great! I'm down 77.5 lbs. and under 200 lbs for the first time in over 15 years!! I've met wonderful men & women who've blazed the trail for me and I find their friendship and support invaluable. I don't think I could do it without all of you & your support! Vickie J.

Vickie...I'm glad you are doing great. You can see how wonderful it can be just to be 'normal'.....if we could ever be 'normal'. But I'll settle for appearing normal while working hard to keep up 'appearances'. Did that make sense? Didn't think so. Oh well....I knew what I meant.... Hang in there and keep coming here for support...its the best place. Hugs Charlie

HONKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK HONKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK Tommorow will be 4 months post-op and have went down 95 pounds since the first if the year {82 pounds since surgery} WLS is a GREAT! My mom asked me jsut yesterday while picking peas was I happy that I had this and I told her that if I had it to do all over again I would do it in a heartbeat There is nothing like feeling life all over again and living it the way it was meant to be. I have more energy, want to get out and do more and slowly getting my house back in teh order it was meant to be. Now the only thing I could do without is the hair coming out---but I can handle that ...I have always had a full head of thick hair. Becky
