Hello, a while ago I posted that I was having gallbladder removal surgery. I had the surgery 6/22/05. It was definately more painful than RNY surgery. But to make a long story short as of today not only am I doing much better, in 9 days of recovery I've lost 5 lbs, that makes my total loss 105 lbs in 9 months which I "celebrated" yesterday. So though I didn't get the job (which I interviewed today and was hoping to get)..I still had a positive day. Thanks for your support!! Ooh yea - and have a happy and safe July 4th celebration, and be careful what you put in your mouth! , ,

Ruth, Glad you're feeling better! Sorry to hear about the job, but everything happens for a reason. And way to go on the 105lbs! That's a huge accomplishment! Angie 228/158/135

Ruth, You just answered one of my biggest fears. I had my gallbladder removed Jan 03 and because my hometown hospital sent me home in agony because I was "pregnant" and I had to go to another hospital after two days of pain and Thinking I was having another child--it felt like I was in labor! I went to another hospital where I was jaundice and was put immediately on Morphine, and NOT pregnant! I had surgery the next morning and spent 8 days in the hospital because stones were impacted in the ducts. Anyway, I was in massive pain and people that have had RNY (Lap)are telling me it is not as bad as I think and I am like yeah right I know how much I hurt when they removed that little gallbladder (Lap) so I am thinking I am going to be in HORRIBLE terrible pain when they change my whole tummy around! My aunt who had the lap RNY with the same surgeon is trying to reassure me that the most pain is gas and I don't believe her. Yea on your 105#s!!

Ruth, I had a feeling when you posted that you were having your gallbladder out just days from the Orl.Event that you probably wouldn't be able to attend. Sorry it was so painful for you but glad to hear you are doing much better. Congrats! on the 5lb.loss too. WoooooHoooo!!!! I was looking forward to meeting you this past weekend, but we will have other opportunites. God will provide the right position for you in His time. Keep the faith! You have a good 4th celebration too. I'm here in my hometown of New Jersey for a nephews wedding and will be celebrating the 4th at my nieces down the shore. Really looking forward to it. Take Care!
