HELP.....I have a cold....7 days before surgery!!!!

PLEASE help....I have a cold. I don't want to lose my surgery date....please someone tell me any good ways to get rid of this annoying bump in the road. Sad here in DeLand Jen W.

Hey Jen, I came down with a wicked sinus infection 4 days before surgery and decided to "hide" it until surgery morning...then when I couldn't stand it anymore, I finally called annomously and asked about sinus meds and they said I was suffering for no reason and told me what was safe to take. I knew I couldn't hide the infection once I got there for my surgery anyway. CAll your doctor....soon!!!! Good luck! Laurie P Pensacola

I agree, talk to your doc. I got bronchitis 1 week before my date, and doc put me on a 3 day antibiotic. With a cold, I like vitamin c, Q-10, and echinacia. But, you want to run this by the doc first. Rest, and lots of fluids too. I pray God's hand of healing be upon you Jen, and that your surgery will be without complications as well as your recovery from anesthesia.
