Howdy!  I've just begun this journey, so I'm here trying to get some advice about the process.  I'm scheduled for my first appointment in a couple weeks.  My PCM is already putting together all my records and is also writing a personal letter of recomendation to Tricare since they are notorious for denying first time around.  I'm currently 5 foot 1 inches, and I weigh 210lbs.  I have high blood pressure, asthmas, acid reflux and stress incontinence.  I'm praying that everything goes through without a hitch!  Does anyone have any advice in dealing with Tricare South? (hubby is active duty)

Thanks ahead of time for your help!

I am currently waiting for my Tricare approval.  According to my physician's office staff, Tricare is one of the easiest and fastest!  They mentioned that as long as your psych eval comes back approved and you meet the criteria, it should not be a problem.  I didn't have to provide any additional history.  I think if your referral to the surgeon is approved, they know you meet the criteria.
As a dependent of AD military for the last 22 years, I know this goes against everything we are use to when dealing with Tricare!  I would not worry about anything until you meet with you doctor....their staff knows exactly what to do.  Best of luck!
