It's me!
I guess I should have been writing more lately. Just seem to have gotten in a funk. I haven't been losing weight in the last 2 months. I seemed like I was doing all the right stuff but being in a menapausal funk too (sorry guys) life has been a little hectic. I feel pretty good most the time and still have more energy than ever before..............BUT .......I just haven't felt great like I was. Sooooooooo.........I did the blood work for my surgeon and now the results are in. Looks like I am anemic (a little) I show signs of mild dehydration and some of my blood work seems to say I am in a starvation mode. WELL< that explains no weight loss, huh?
I am a little down now too. It seems everyone is going on and I have gotten stuck. Maybe it is because of the THREE funerals I have gone to in the last 7 weeks or the fact that I am just not getting things accomplished.
Sorry to go on.....I guess I was just wondering if anyone got out 8 months and had anything like this. I have been so lucky and I still feel that way. I do not regret a minute of this or the surgery.
Just could use some reassuring I guess that this old woman hasn't quit losing for good.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Carol,
So good to hear from you. We missed you around here...
It sounds like you have been going through alot lately! My goodness, 3 funerals in 7 weeks!?
I am sorry that you have been having a rough go lately. That ole menopause can really get you down. It reaks havoc on the hormones. I am not post-op Carol but I have done my research and I do NOT think you are done losing at all!! You sound like you are in ketosis and so the body is "hoarding" whatever you put into it and storing it. Now you know what the hold up was so you can BUST through and start losing again. EAT girl! You must eat in order to lose. (I'm preaching to the choir here) lol
You have had a lot on your plate (no pun intended!) lately so you are perfectly normal to be feeling some blues. Hang in there hun. You will get past this and feel sunny again.
I know I am pre-op so I hope what I said does not irritate you. It is just what I have been told by my nutritionist and my research. I know you will start losing again.
HUGS

Haven't been on all day but your message was so sweet I wanted to write back. Thanks for the encouragement. Don't apologize for being pre-op.
I think sometimes I was more informed BEFORE THE surgery. At least more objective. YOu are right though. I HAVE had a lot to deal with. Now I have to deal with ME !!! Thanks for caring.
Carol

Carol,
Hey Lady! Sorry that you are in a lil funk these days, but at least you went to the doc and know you do have some things you need to address. I started hitting weightloss stalls early out and everyone always told me to do a few things to jumpstart the weightloss again. The most recent stall lasted about 7 weeks, but everyone around me still swears I was losing inches, so maybe my body just needed to play catch up. The things I have heard to do to jumpstart my body were 1) increase or change your exercise routine 2) increase your water intake and/or 3) increase your protein intake. I pushed water and protein last week like crazy and finally dropped another 3 lb. Just some things to try to see if you can get the scale moving again.
I get my bloodwork results today and I am hoping they can determine why my energy is off and why I passed out a couple times recently. I dont feel crummy, except for the energy loss, but I am anxious to get to the bottom of it and get back on track.
Anyway,
Hang in there, please dont get discouraged~you've come too far
!
Take care and keep us posted, my lil Angelette!
Luv,
Amy
