Question of the day...
Hi guys! I hope you are having a swell week. (did I just say swell??) It sure has been hot up here in N. FL whew!
SO! Are you a bargain hunter or a just grab the first thing ya see kinda shopper? What is the BEST bargain you have ever gotten?
I guess I try to bargain hunt mostly. I love yardsales and flea markets! I always look for whats on sale at the store and I price match at Wal-Mart every shopping day.
MY BEST BARGAIN EVER.....
Several years ago my hubby and I were driving through a neighbourhood near our house and saw a "thing" by the road that said "Free Please take me" It was tall made out of a pretty wood and had like a little bench that poked out in the front with a seat that lifted and little arms on the side. The back part that stood up tall, had a hook on either side to hang a hat or coat on or something and then there was a mirror that went in the center. I begged hubby to get it and he hem hawed and grumbled but he turned around and got it for me.
We took it home and had a horrible time finding a place for it. I kept it for several years and really wound uo NOT liking it at all for my decor but had no idea what to do with it.
At this time in our lives now, my hubby had gotten out of the navy and things were tight as we were trying to find a civilian job for him and had 2 babies already.
My sis in law calls me up one day and says, you know that "thing" you have? hehehe She said I think it is called a hall tree because I saw one like it in an antique store yesterday. So I called around about it and wound up selling it to a local antique store for $220.00!!! I/we were shocked! lol
What a blessing that ole "thing" was.
SO I guess I made a 220% return on my investment!

I don't do yard sales or flea markets really at all, but ask Alexa and Anna about my coupons and sales. I don't cut coupons per say but I do make sure I am on mailing lists so I get the Fashion Bug, LB, etc coupons and typically won't buy anything unless I have one. I love when I use the gift check at LB, spend $150, save $50, so I spend $100 which gives me 2 Real Women dollars...so the next time I spend $100 I'm only paying $50. So that's $250 dollars in clothes for $150. Which for me is savings.
My lastest find was thing Gund baby animal blankets. The ticket says $28, they ring up for $9.99...then I had a 20% shopping pass so it was $8. I buy them for friends having babies, but this last time I got myself a frog one...it's cuddly to sleep with until I find something better.
