Local Support Group

I'm postop 9-4-03 RNY *****alizes her 8-year dream of living coastal when I move to Tarpon Springs, FL, on June 24th. Where can I find a local support group? Can anybody help me?

Hi Rusty, welcome to the area...I live in Holiday but have a Tarpon Springs address...I attend the support group called Bypass Buddies...it is held in Largo at the Morton Plant Hospital...it is every 2nd saturday from 10 to noon and on a wednesday in the evenings...if you want to email me direct I can get out my sheet with the exact dates on it...I am still pre-op and try to attend most of them....matter of fact just finished my last test today..... now just have to wait a couple days for the results to get to my PCP and I can turn all the paperwork into the surgeon's office to admit for approval....again welcome and look forward to hearing from you... April, what a lovely handle you have for emails! And from your photo you are gorgeous! If I understood you correctly, you are preop. Are you going with a lap band or RNY (gastric bypass)? You will simply LOVE YOUR NEW LIFE! How far is Largo? I know Holiday somewhat. Maybe we can meet eventually - although I'll be insanely unpacking for some time. Thank you SO much for replying. I felt kind of lost without knowing anyone.
