Hello from Virginia ! You all were so gracious to welcome my comments about my WLS surgeon, Dr Jeffrey Lord--who will soon be coming to the Pensacola area. I was just checking in to see if anyone had gone to one of his seminars and, if so---what did you think of his presentation and staff?? I absolutely ADORE him and his Case Manager, Jan. For those of you that didn't see my post a month or so ago---He did my surgery when I weighed 467 pounds---and he performed LAP surgery on me. Not many other Docs out there that vnot had even one complication. At 16 month postop I now weigh 179 pounds-----having LOST 288 pounds. (thinking I may even become a member of the 3 Century Club one day) His skill is incredible (check out his credentials)--His program is VERY thorough--his staff terriffic, very compassionate, yet will NOT sugarcoat anything---and--by following his advise I now have a wonderful new life!! I just completed round 1 of Plastic Surgery (arms and breasts) and still have a way to go---but I am one my way! Yaaaaa Hooooo! This incredible new life I owe to Dr Lord----and can't help but want to share with those of you in Florida--lucky enough to have him to choose from in your area as your surgeon. May God Bless all of you!!! Cindy

Hi Cindy! I was thinking of you the other day...I couldn't remember exactly when you said you were going through your first round of PS, but I knew it was some time early in the month. Hope you are having a speedy recovery and are pleased with the results. Yes, I did attend one of Dr. Lord's seminar. My husband and I went. I came away feeling very comfortable with his background, credentials and his experience with this surgery. I was glad that I waited long enough to go to his seminar before making a choice about who will do my surgery. I'm in the process of filling out the papers to be sent back in to Jan. I have been yo-yo dieting for so many years that it is hard to remember all the details about every diet I have done and what I weighed during each attempt, etc. I may end up having to just ad-lib on some of that info...or leave it blank. I'll contact Jan and ask her first. At least it is another step closer--to finally decide which doctor to use. I've been researching and trying to decide for ever it seems like. It is not something I wanted to jump into quickly without giving a lot of thought. Guess that is the smart thing to do, even tho we all want the weight to be gone ASAP. Have a great week! Betti
