I was lost, but now

Hello All! I didn't know until tonight that there was a separate board for Floridians...duh...LOL.. This is great! I've been reading posts and where everyone is from and it's cool ~ some of ya'll are in my own backyard...I don't feel so isolated as before! I'm 8 weeks post op. Not much on my profile yet, but I'll update it. I had my surgery in Tampa which contributed to my isolation. No support groups near where I live (that I know of anyway)..Even Kissimmee is a little far. I'm also looking for a sympathetic PCP in the greater Orlando area. Any suggestions? Hi Jo-Ell, Welcome to the Florida board. I am north of you in Palm Coast but I do understand about feeling isolated. There are several support groups in the Orlando area one that is on this board is really active from what I have seen. No suggestions for an Orlando PCP but if there is one near you, someone on this board should know. Good luck to you. Kat

Howdy Joell! Welcome to our board and alone NO LONGER will you be! Great to have you hang out with us. We are doing a support group in the Orange Park area once a month if you don't mind the hour drive. It will probably be on Sat. in the daytime. Email me or WildCat Lady for more info. WELCOME! Jo-Ell, There is a support group that meets in Lake Mary the third Tuesday of each month. If you want to go, let me know and I'll send more info. I also host a Meet and Greet for pre or post-ops at the Altamonte Mall foodcourt every other month. The next one will be in July, not sure on the date yet. Those are a lot of fun and many of us have been attending for over a year now. I always post the date and reminders on here, so watch the board for more on the M&G. Take care, Amy
