I am having such a hard time sticking to this pre op diet. I did great the 1st 8 weeks but I am losing control. I am required to lose 15% of my body weight before Dr. Y will do the surgery. I have my next visit with him on 6/9, I hope I have not gained any weight. I was not that hungery the 1st 8 weeks but now I feel like I can not get enough to eat. Any suggestions! thanks =0)

Drink your water. Stick to this even if you have to force yourself. It was hard for me too, but you will only benefit from losing the weight. It reduces fat around the liver so you will have agreater chance of a successful lap surgery. Also, it helps create good behaviors that you will need post op.Remember....you CAN do this Cheryl. You are a tremendous person to take the plunge for your surgery, so believe in youself and DON'T sabatage your hard work! Revisit your goals, andwhy you are having this surgery. Look at your before picture, and visualize where you want to be. Losing control says your mouth, and food are stronger than you are, and that just isn't true! I believe in you Cheryl, and I want you to be successful. I am 2 weeks post op and stuck to my pre op diet too. It was hard, but my surgery and recovery have been text book. I'd do it again in a heart beat! Blessings, Tami
